Within the Bucharest Architecture Annual 2020, supported online, we presented 2 projects: The Resource Cube and Snagov Retreat.

We are very proud to announce that the "Courtyard with Portico" project - Republic of Architects (arch. Cristian Nae, arch. Ioana Truşcă, stud. arch. Laura Covaci) proposal for the Acasă pentru Umanitate competition, organized by the OAR Bucharest in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity - has won the Second Prize. Many thanks to our collaborators, Dimmer Wooden Houses and Confort Therm Proiect.
We are very proud and happy to have helped the National Dance Center Bucharest (CNDB) for the creation of the Resource CUBE for the Dance Archives: open for (re)invention! We thank Atelier VAST and Holver Romania for their support.
On July 10th was the Awards Gala of the Anuala de Arhitectură Bucureşti 2019, where we presented 2 projects: Altius and Subcarpaţi Hotel .
From 17 July the exhibition will be relocated to Mercato Comunale.
For RDW’s 2019 iteration of "Meet the Architect", Republic of Architects invites Grupul de Iniţiativă Civică Lacul Tei ( https://laculteiinfo.ro/ ), a community that cherishes their neighborhood. Their members have between 22 and 80 years old and are technicians, biologists, builders, attorneys, architects, researchers, computer engineers, photojournalists, directors and so on. The Group was founded in 2010, when a handful of people decided to walk around the neighbourhood in order to record the problems observed: the lack of parking spots or sanitation, the citizen safety or thermal insulation problematic. Since then, the Group has developed organically and crystallized in a solid, active, vigilent and dinamic community.
On Saturday, May 18, in the morning from 11AM, they confessed about their communitarian experiences and the Center where they house their civic, cultural or educational activities, a place where friends are welcomed to create non-commercial events dedicated to the people of the neighbourhood.
Between 10th and 31th July House with inner courtyard, Eroii Sanitari, Ordoreanu Retreat andBBP Totems are exhibited at Anuala de Arhitectură Bucureşti 2018 at MERCATOCOMUNALE, outpost for AAB2018, Ion Câmpineanu 22.

For RDW’s 2018 iteration of "Meet the Architect", Iulian Ungureanu from Asociația “Încotroceni” (www.incotroceni.ro) related possible ways how can the innovative resources of the “creative neighborhood” be put to use in order to accomplish a good/involved/responsive... neighborhood as well. For this we invited visitors to join us in learning from the experience of our neighbors that have capitalized on the skill and knowledge of its members, and combined their respective architectural, sociological, anthropological, juridical or economical expertizes in order to become active actors in urban policies.
Republic of Architects is honoured to be partner with Transilvania Bank in implementing of the new branding of the financial company for branches around Romania. The projects have started in 2016 and continued in 2017 with the building of over 25 projects.
The client meets the architect because he/she wants to ("the architect is a pro") or because have to ("the authorities requires authorization")? It's great to see the examples of Stardust Architects during their presentation at Meet the Architect 06, were they were chosen by the Client because their opinion matter.
How can an architect have a good idea for someone you don't know?
From Stardust's perspective, it was made clear that the partnership with the client has to be a common effort. Also, that this partnership has to be evaluated continuously. This is were the history of the questionnaire for the Client started, a project in continuous transformation. The capacity to synthesize in a form the requirements / questions for the Client was made easy in spite of the different design services possible, unlikely possible for a stable geometry. Stardust questionnaire is a sensual affirmation, of preferences and aptitudes.

Oana Iacob has been invited by The Institute to guide portfolio for Portfolio Reviews @Diploma, a program composed of two education sessions that evaluates individual portfolios for students and young architects and to send a professional feedback for presentation and content.

MoMi minimal living module is displayed in the Agora Experiments section, associated project of the East Centric Architecture Triennale 2016, initiated by Architext design Foundation.
Experimentele Agora are a wide range of interventions which address, research and test possible solutions for re-activating public spaces, by means of participatory art and architecture installations / structures.
Imobil Stroe Postelnicul is featured Igloo Best catalog "Housing in România 2". The project is described extensively in text, with architectural schemes and photos.
Matei Puticiu has enchanted the enthusiast audience during Meet the Architect 04 with his experience of transforming an attic into a home.

We looked through the slides of a brief presentation and we talked about what is a protected urban area and how one can intervene or build in such an area of the city. We enjoy later the discussion in the courtyard.

On June 2nd Republic of Architects is opening the office and the beautiful courtyard form Theodor Burada 7 for the first event from a series of future meetings where we wish to discuss about the potential that the traditional areas of the city have for the identity and quality of life in Bucharest. "Meet the Architect" sessions promise to create a complex connections between the creative community, the technical one and the close proximity neighborhood.
We invite you to arrive walking carelessly on the beautiful street of the neighborhood, to meet our neighbors - Splaiul Independenței, Piața Kogălniceanu, Schitu Măgureanu, Știrbei Vodă, Calea Plevnei. We will wait with the doors open and outspread sunbeds, ready to enjoy, relax, get to know each other and party until late in the night.

Republic of Architects has showcased Level Eight Apartment in UPARTAMENT / BRD together with THE INSTITUTE, guide for your first designer house.
The magazine Casa şi grădina, specialized in interior and exterior design for residential use, has published an article on Level Eight Apartment in the December 2015 - January 2016 issue.
The photographer Mihai Ţuţu made us the honor to include us in a photographic project that followed our office in an ordinary working day. We are glad to share the results.
MoMi was presented in a free speech, in the opening of the documentary on tiny houses, following the invitation of the Urban Eye film festival, a platform of ideas that follows the link between movies and the city.

Between 15th and 30th October, Cotroceni: Reinforcement & Extention, Opera Center Lobby 1+2 and http://www.republicofarchitects.com/en/category/proiecte/#2604 are exhibited at The National Architecture Biennale 2013-2014.
MoMi was featured in the magazine Arhitext, Autumn 2014 edition, with the general theme "Entropy, volatility".
Opera Center Lobby 1+2 was selected from the exhibition National Architecture Bienalle 2014 by the magazine Wall-Street as one of the most beautiful offices.
MoMi was featured in the magazine Zeppelin, number 125, June 2014 being presented as "an instrument for living in the garden".
MoMi modular livin unit was displayed during Romanian Design Week. The metalic structure was built entirely, then protected with see-through materials (thick polyethylene), and placed in a garden in the centre of Bucharest. Also, the instalation MoMi's Dream was displayed in the main exhibition of Romanian Design Week to invite people to visit MoMi from the garden.
For 4 days, the visitors were able to see the interior of the unit, but also enjoy the space outside of it. The organized events helped the visitors to appreciate both the garden and its connection with the city: presentations, performances, practical demonstrations, or festive gatherings were all centered on MoMi. They illustrated how choosing to cherish and inhabit the space of the garden as another part of the house itself pushes the boundaries of one's private space to the limit of the land property and promotes interaction with the community life of the city/neighborhood.

In the beginning of the summer we managed to finish the extension and remodelling of the Cotroceni villa. We will present you more information at ‘Anuala de Arhitectură Bucureşti’ (http://www.anuala.ro/) and ‘Bienala Naţională de Arhitectură’ (http://www.uar-bna.ro/).

Situated on the streets that open at East from Calea Floreasca whilst descending into crossing the lakes, the building dwells six apartments, on four levels. Located on a corner – at the junction between Stroe Postelnicu and Rachmaninov street – the building’s blind walls are on the verge of the site. Six out of seven apartments share the same level, while the remaining one occupies the entire ground floor.

The interior design project is described extensively, emphasising the context of the intervention.
Republic of Architects, represented by partner architect Oana Iacob (Coarfă), takes part in the jury of the first edition of the Transilvania Architecture Biennale BATRA 2013.
Transilvania Architecture Biennale BATRA is the most important event of architecture profession. It is conceived as a series of events designed to bring architecture to the public opinion, to recognize, reward and promote value in architecture, to inspire a debate on architecture within the profession and in society as well. Not the least, to cultivate the public in the spirit of valuable architecture.
Generate / Regenerate is the theme proposed for BATRA. The two theme characterizes a process of transition between different dimensions of the architectural practice that marks an essential change of the architects job.
The main organizer of BATRA 2013 is The Chamber of Architects from România, Transilvania Branch (OART). Co-organizers of the event are OAR Bihor, OAR Satu-Mare OAR Nord-Vest and OAR Alba. The main event will take place in Cluj-Napoca between 5th and 8th of December 2013.
Republic of Architects was selected to exhibit the project Opera Center Lobby 1+2 in the exhibition „RETHINKING URBANITY“, organised in WONDERLAB - a happening that took place in Vienna Austria, between 7th and 25th of August 2013, for the eleventh anniversary of Wonderland platform.
WONDERLAB aims to include the broader public in relevant issues within the fields of architecture and urbanism, enhancing social topics in the course of the events.

Republic of Architects exhibits PLAI + MOMI module housing concept during Romanian Design Week Preview.
The main exhibition takes place from May 17 to May 26, 2013, at Ştirbei Palace (107-109, Calea Victoriei).
The concept is promoted during the exhibition with the display of the Plai library (furniture for a garden).
The project is realised with the support of EKERO Concept, d’or by Roxana Davidescu, Holver.
Republic of Architects received an honorific award from the Union Of Architects from Romania for the project Papaya Advertising. The prize was awarded during the Exhibition Competition 2013 of the Chamber of Architects from Romania, Prahova local branch.
On April 13 2013, Republic of Architects invited the neighbors for a session of gardening in the little square Mântuleasa. It was a difficult action, but we managed to get together and enjoy gardening. Our friends joined together with landscape specialists Diana and Mihai Culescu. We were happy tot welcome to the volunteers team the architect Șerban Sturdza, vice-president of the Chamber of Romanian Architects.
On December 22nd 2012, Republic of Architects invited the neighbors to celebrate Christmas on Mântuleasa square. The intention of this first meeting was to do seasonal activities together ( decorate the tree, sing carols, share sweets and hot tea, share gifts) in order to start to know each other and maybe in the future meet again there or elsewhere in the neighborhood and continue in yet undiscovered ways.
Invited by Atelier Mass, Republic of Architects contributed to the catalog of HEAD UP! exhibition, hosted at IRCCU during 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Catalogul HEAD UP! debates the subject of Soft Utopias.
Republic of Architects have contributed to the 4th number of the magazine Arhitext, under the theme of Soft Utopias curated by Atelier Mass.
The story of Phileas was presented as a cartoon. The original story of the theme of Francesco Colonna "Hypnerotomachia Poliphili" - Poliphilo's Strife of Love in a Dream - was interpreted in a humorous, yet assumed and idilic view over the standardization of living modules.
Republic of Architects and Oana Iacob (Coarfă) won one of the 3 prizes of the innovative furniture for bathroom, organized by Delta Studio. The concept HEX will enter production phase of the prototype and will be finalized until the end of this year. The prototype will be exposed to sell in Delta Studio showroom from Bucharest.

Republic of Architects took part in the Bucharest Architecture Annual 2012, organized by the Bucharest branch of Romanian Architecture Order. The office presented the game plai - project on potential typologies for garden living.
In the new book Case din Romania, the forth one dedicated to individual houses by Igloo Media, following igloobest series, Prahova House is presented along with other projects for domestic architecture that recover and transform old existing structures.

Republic of Architects took part at the workshop "Create the livable city" organised by Philips from 24-25 November 2011. We had the opportunity to experiment ways to express through architectural lighting and to discuss with experts preoccupied with the quality and evolution of lifestyle in contemporary cities (Marco Bevolo, Tapio Rosenius, Jasmin van der Pol, Ulrike Brandi). Republic of Architects won a mention for the competition of the public space of University Square.
„Transilvania Fest” Association, Blaj City Hall and Alba County Council have launched a competition of manifest ideas „The correct rehabilitation of the Cultural Palace in Blaj” on June 18th 2011. The Palace’s building was inaugurated in 1936 as a host to cultural, educational and artistic projects, but has not been functional since the 90s, when a fire burnt 40% of it.

At the conference "Interior Design" within the Bucharest Annual Architecture 2011, Republic of Architects presented three interventions on areas already configured, in which the changes of the existing finishing could only be punctual. The principle of ready-made was used as conceptual support, but was renamed to include the vague notion of space.

The office presented two projects: Lobby Europe House continues the series of public interior spaces in office buildings, the other is an extension of Bucharest house.
Republic of Architects participated in ZA - Biannual Architecture Festival in Cluj, 2011 edition, organized by organizate AStA, Architecture Students Association. The theme of this is was "We talk Architecture", Republic of Architects gave a lecture on 10 relevant projects of the office.

During the Bucharest Architecture Annual, Republic of Architects presents three projects, two in the "Decoration and Interior Design" and the third in the "Studies and Projects": Kindergarten Castelu, Riverview Building Lobby and Atrium Building Lobby.
Begenning with 2009, we will help on obtaining building permits of wind turbines on romanian territory. He hope that this activity will help on increasing the level of green energy and decreasing the pollution one in the near future, with respect of not spoiling the natural enviroment.
Republic of Architects gave a lecture during the Scolii 1001case. We decided to talk about the waz we function as a team, not focusing on our personal or others opinion on the projects that we realised.

The project Autogara Ploiesti was mentioned on the first page of the local paper Prahova.
